Whether kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), our camps provide the ideal mix of fun, learning, and personal growth—all while making lifelong friends and memories.

Adventure Meets Skill Building on the San Francisco Bay

Our youth camps at Crane Cove Park are designed to get kids outdoors, challenge themselves, and experience the beauty of the San Francisco Bay. With expert paddle instruction and top-notch gear, campers at every skill level—from beginner to advanced—will learn to navigate the water, master essential paddling techniques, and build a unique connection to nature.

Whether stepping onto a paddleboard for the first time or refining their kayaking skills, your kids will leave camp with more than just strength—they'll gain the self-esteem that comes from tackling new challenges head-on.

Why Paddle Boarding and Kayaking are Perfect for Kids

Kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) offer so much more than just a great way to stay active. Here's why our camps stand out as the best choice for your kids:

  • Full-Body Workout: Paddling is a fantastic way to build core strength, balance, and endurance.

  • Confidence Building: Learning a new skill in a supportive environment helps kids gain confidence and see their progress each day.

  • Teamwork and Camaraderie: Whether working together on the water or during beach games, our campers form a strong sense of community.

  • Connection to Nature: From spotting seals to understanding tides and currents, kids develop a deep appreciation for the San Francisco Bay's natural beauty.

What Parents Can Expect: A Focus on Safety and Fun

At Dogpatch Paddle, safety is our top priority. Each camp begins with a fun and engaging safety briefing where kids learn essential water safety tips, how to handle the equipment, and why understanding tides and currents is so important. Our expert instructors ensure your child has a safe, enjoyable experience, with every adventure carefully guided and supervised.

Jennifer K. shares her experience: "The instructors at Dogpatch Paddle were amazing—keeping my son safe while also giving him the confidence to try new things. He came home every day with a huge smile!"
