YOUTH SUMMER CAMPS – 2021
Crane Cove Park, Dogpatch, San Francisco
Adventure awaits! Nothing can cure the pandemic blues like a standup paddle board (SUP) camp. Crane Cove Park only just opened in September 2020, but we’ve been paddling these waters for years. We’re so excited to be able to finally share them with your children. We’ll teach them how to be safe, paddle strong, appreciate the raw wilderness of the Bay, while creating lifelong memories with new and old friends alike. All camps are Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm. for kids 8-15 years old. All San Francisco summer camps are broken into small pods with only 5 campers per counselor. Individual campers can join an age-appropriate pod or friend-groups of 5 can book an entire pod. Read our blog post “Summer Camp Safety 2021”.

Things You Should Know
Safety
Our first priority is your child’s safety. We will spend most of the first day learning about safety rules, emergency protocols, paddling technique, understanding currents, winds, and tides. If the bay does not cooperate with calm seas, we will substitute activities.
Abilities
No paddle experience is necessary. We do ask that all campers are physically fit and good swimmers. Our summer camps are offered for ages 8-16 and the pods are based upon age (8-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-16). All of our counselors have constant radio contact with home base.
COVID-19
We are hyper-sensitive to exposure risks and will enforce all precautions. Everyone must wear masks at all times. Distancing of six feet must be observed whenever possible. All activities are specifically selected based upon their ability to comply.
Activities
In between paddles, during lunch, and if the water is too turbulent, we will provide free-choice activities for the campers. Crane Cove Park has a beach, a wading area and a large grass field where we can play any number of sports and camp games.
Counselors
All of our summer camp counselors are CPR and first-aid certified. Additionally, we only hire swim athletes (who are also really fun and great with kids!). The counselor: camper ratio is 1:5 to ensure ample oversight and smaller group interactions.
Equipment
We’ll provide an appropriately sized SUP board, paddle, leash, and life vest (PFD). If your child would like to wear a wet suit, they may bring one. Each camper is required to have two face masks on them at all times. We will provide a daily packing list upon enrollment.
